Getting Started

I am so excited to finally have the chance to  volunteer for Rising Star Outreach this summer.  As of today, I have begun sending letters to my friends and family to invite them to share in this experience with me.  I have created this blog in order to keep those who are supporting me in this adventure up to date on what exactly I am doing.

By July 10, I will need to have raised almost $4000 to cover the expense of my travel to and stay in India.  As I am a student, I am very dependent on my friends and family's financial support.  I am hoping that you will visit RSO's website at www.risingstaroutreach.com, read the stories and learn more about the "curse" of leprosy and its effects on humanity.  I feel strongly compelled to do this and I cannot wait to serve these people.
